Andersen has hired Marta Duarte Silva as a Partner in the Tax Department for its Lisbon office. Marta has over 20 years of experience in tax advice to private clients and family offices. Andersen’s new partner is recognized in some of the most prestigious international directories, particularly Chambers and Partners High Net Worth.
Throughout her career, Marta Duarte Silva has assisted numerous clients in tax residence planning and international and domestic mobility, succession planning, and family and business asset management. She also has extensive experience in structuring financial instruments and transactions, as well as in implementing fiduciary structures and family offices.
She holds a law degree from the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in International Business Law from the Portuguese Catholic University. Her training is completed with an Advanced Professional Certificate in International Taxation from the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (Netherlands), as well as postgraduate degrees in Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance from the Center for Private Law Research at the University of Lisbon, and in Corporate Tax Law from the Institute of Business and Labor Law at the University of Coimbra. She regularly participates as a speaker at seminars and conferences and is the author and co-author of several articles related to her area of expertise.
